Oberon® In-Plane™ Recessed Mounts

Oberon™ In-Plane™ Recessed Mounts 1018 provides a convenient way to conceal Wi-Fi and Small Cell Wireless Access Points (APs) into a dry-wall wall for an aesthetic, professional installation. Oberon™ In-Plane™ Recessed Mounts 1018 is an all-plastic recess box with mounting features for leading vendor's APs.

The recessed box installs into an opening in the wall in minutes. The AP, surface mount box, patch cord, and associated cabling can be organized inside the recess box, and the low-profile cover snaps into place. The paintable white cover largely blends into most walls. The cover is a thin PC/ABS composite plastic, which is virtually transparent to the wireless signal. Oberon™ In-Plane™ Recessed Mounts 1018 is the ideal solution in venues where the AP needs to ‘visually disappear’ without compromising wireless coverage and performance.

Oberon™ In-Plane™ Recessed Mounts 1018 is uniquely designed to satisfy UL 2416 requirements for in-wall mounted enclosure systems. Oberon™ In-Plane™ Recessed Mounts 1018 is constructed of a suitably-rated plastic material for recess wall mounting. Unlike metal in-wall boxes, Oberon™ In-Plane™ Recessed Mounts 1018 will have minimum impact on wireless performance.

Oberon® In-Plane™ Recessed Mounts 1019 conceals Wi-Fi and Small Cell APs, Wi-Fi routers, and associated cabling in residence halls, hotels, multiple dwelling units, retail locations and other indoor venues. Recess AP into the wall and conceal with the low profile, paintable, snap-on cover. This rugged UL 94-5VB ABS plastic enclosure is virtually transparent to wireless signals so there is minimal impact on wireless coverage. The 1019 features slots for TIA 569-B compliant furniture faceplate RJ-45 modular jacks, to facilitate cable termination and management.

Oberon® In-Plane™ Recessed Mounts 1440 are an economical cloud/canopy/suspended ceiling mounting kit for most vendors’ access points and antennas. A cutout is made in the ceiling panel, the panel bridge is placed above the ceiling panel, and the access point is attached to the white trim. The access point and trim assembly is then drawn into the panel bridge with a torsion spring, much like a recessed lighting fixture, with only the front face exposed for optimal wireless coverage. When the AP brand or model changes, the AP trim is easily swapped for new trim.

The Model 1444 In-Plane Series is an economical, aesthetic, and easy-to-install suspended ceiling mounting kit for APs from most vendors. A cutout is made in the ceiling tile and the tile bridge and back box is placed above the ceiling panel. The AP fastens within the backbox onto an included mounting bracket or T-bar bracket and the cover attaches to the back-box with torsion springs and conceals the AP. Alternately, an AP-specific trim is used to support the AP front face slightly below the ceiling for optimal wireless coverage. The AP or antenna trim is easily swapped when AP or antenna model changes.

The Model 1442 In-Plane™ series offer the simplest way to mount APs and antennas from most leading vendors into existing hard (drywall/sheetrock) ceilings up to 1.5 in. thick, for an aesthetic, professional installation. A cutout is made in the ceiling, and the all-metal back-box is fastened into the ceiling. The AP fastens within the backbox onto an included mounting bracket or T-bar bracket. The cover attaches to the back-box with torsion springs and conceals the AP. Alternately, AP-specific trims are also available to mount the AP flush to the ceiling.

The Model 1443 In-Plane™ series offer the simplest way to mount APs and antennas from most leading vendors into new construction hard (drywall/sheetrock) ceilings up to 1.5 in. thick, for an aesthetic, professional installation. The back-box is fastened to the ceiling joists before drywall is installed, and the new ceiling is cut around the box. When construction is complete, the access point either fastens to the appropriate trim, and the trim attaches to the back-box with torsion springs, or the AP fastens within the backbox onto an included mounting bracket or T-bar bracket and the cover attaches to the back-box with torsion springs and conceals the AP. The AP is recessed into the ceiling much like a recessed light fixture with only the front face exposed for optimal wireless coverage. The AP or antenna trim is easily swapped when AP or antenna model changes.

The AP and trim assembly is then drawn into the tile bridge with a wing nut, with only the front face of the AP exposed for optimal wireless coverage.

Oberon® In-Plane™ Recessed Mounts 1040-FL and 1040-FLRD are economical cloud/canopy/suspended ceiling mounting kits that support most vendors’ access points. 1040 is an open tile bridge that supports an AP above a suspended ceiling panel. It is accessed through a cutout in the ceilng panel which is covered by a rectangular (-FL) or round (-FLRD) plastic cover. Use this solution with plenum-rated equipment in plenum-rated spaces. For non-plenum spaces use Model 1440.
